A story of defying supremacy and keeping on, even after the world destroys and kills off all love. The War of the Rohirem, directed by Kenji Kamiyama, has shown us a part of the famous story that we all know and love as the Lord of the Rings. It is about a woman, a princess, who is the daughter to a kingdom about to go into a civil war. Her father is challenged by a chief in the kingdom, who believes his son deserves to be the king of the next lineage after his death. His proposal was to have his son marry the princess-protagonist, and the battle that came after started a problem of love and war that would shackle the entire kingdom.

Hera, played by Gaia Wise, was the princess who lost everything. In the beginning she meets the boy from her childhood, Wulf, who had a grudge on her for a long time. This man, who was taught by a cruel father, was a supremacist who thought of women as things you can give or receive and gain power. This complex perspective of love and control is what he imposed on her. But everything goes down when his father challenges the king and dies.

Wulf is exiled from the kingdom only to simply gather troops from afar and plan an attack on the capital. This surprise attack was met with great strategy and defense, but this is when Wulf starts his revenge. He kills Hera's brother with an arrow and leaves the king at the brink of death; this set back the forces and forced them to retreat to the Hornburg. Soon after, the capture of Hera's second brother-Hama was dealt with murder right in front of her eyes. This tragic end, for both of her brothers was now met with a king at the brink of death and a kingdom forced to retreat in a place of death, the Hornburg.

She understood in Hornburg that they needed to fight, to do whatever was needed to beat the scoundrel that wanted to become king. But she had no army, no king in his right mind. Though the daughter already lost so much, her sorrow only grew, with his father sacrificing himself to save her from an attack.

This, coupled with her dying kingdom, made us think that she had no ability to win. Her father did kill many enemy soldiers, but none were enough to win the battle. She needed to make the choice; to kill the one she loved to save her kingdom or watch him tear down everything her father built. If the eagle didn't make it clearer, she took the decision and saved her kingdom from doom.

The story is part of the background story of the Lord of the Rings. But it was cool to see such a depth in many of the Lord of the Rings characters. Who knew that there were so many cards to play to make the story of the Lord of Rings possible. The story was built good and the creativity they took to make these characters and Hera who they were, was astonishing work. I've never seen such work in my entire life. Nobody has ever taken the risk of going so deep into other parts of a story and make it into a movie. Truly, an elite!!
